At Eat Drink Talk we are passionate about food and about how to share our love for cooking in a friendly yet professional way. We are always on the look out for knowledgeable and enthusiastic assistants to come and help out during cooking classes.

Applicants must be fit, energetic, meticulous and most importantly they should be enthusiastic and capable home cooks. While formal culinary qualifications are not required, applicants should be completely at ease being in the kitchen and in dealing with raw ingredients including vegetables, meat, fish and seafood.

This a part time position with hours ranging from 13 to 28 hours per week. Please note that applicants should have fairly flexible schedules and be available to work late-afternoons and evenings and the occasional weekend. This position is not suitable to combine with a daytime 9-5 job.

This is a great opportunity to work in a fun and friendly environment with some of the best ingredients in London and to learn more about cooking and different culinary styles. The willingness to learn, taste and absorb is essential.

Please note that applicants should be physically fit as you will be on your feet for most of the evening. An excellent command of English and good communication skills are also mandatory.

The responsibilities of the kitchen assistant include:

-greeting and welcoming students on arrival and making them feel comfortable

- washing, chopping, measuring and weighing ingredients. It is important that applicants be able to work quickly and efficiently.

-assisting with cooking demonstrations during class

-clearing plates, washing dishes, cleaning up, hoovering and mopping
