Ablaze with the flavours of chile and garlic and laced heavily with sesame oil, soy and ginger, Korean food is one of Asia’s most flavourful cuisines. A delicious combination of spicy, pungent and sweet that is simply irresistible, Korean cuisine is renowned for its inventive use of tougher cuts of meat and its flair for crunchy, spicy side dishes.
In this class we’ll to use traditional Korean ingredients like Nashi pear, doenjang (fermented soybean paste), gochujang (the infamous Korean chili paste!) and kimchi to make some delicious Korean dishes that make for a brilliant introduction to this wonderful cuisine.
We’ll also learn about the best places in London to shop for spices and ethnic ingredients.
