One of the most refined cooking styles in Asia, Vietnamese is perhaps the world’s first fusion cuisine. Blending Chinese techniques, Indian spices and influenced by the French, the food of Vietnam is distinctive, sophisticated and absolutely delicious.
In this dish we’ll learn about some typical Vietnamese ingredients like rice paper, tamarind, and nuoc mam and create some delicious and authentic Vietnamese recipes.
We’ll finish up by making ca phe sua da, the traditional Vietnamese iced coffee.
Some of the dishes we’ll learn include:
Prawns in Tamarind Sauce with Spring Onion
Rice Paper Rolls with Green Mango
Hoi-an Style Noodles in Spiced Broth with Toasted Rice Crackers
Vietnamese Beef Curry with Star Anise and Lemongrass
