Dim Sum Dumplings
Sun May 9th 2010 7-9:30pm - Participation
Chinese dumplings or ‘jiao zi’ are an ancient form of Chinese ravioli that come in countless forms and fillings.
In this class, we’ll learn how to make a classic hot-water dumpling dough and practice using traditional Chinese rolling pins to roll our dumpling wrappers in perfect circles. Then we’ll use nimble fingers to fill, pinch, and crimp our way through a selection of delicious dumplings combining traditional techniques and fillings.
Some of the dishes we’ll learn include:
Boiled Szechuan-style rippled dumplings
Steamed Siu Mai dumplings
Panfried ‘Potsticker’ dumplings
Please note that this class is not suitable for vegetarians.
