Our class on Middle Eastern street food focuses on the delicious snacks and food sold from street hawkers and barbecue stalls in small towns and villages across the this region. Snacking is a much-loved pastime in this part of the world where endless combinations of sweet and savoury kebabs, flatbreads and dips are cooked up and eaten by everyone from politicians to taxi drivers!

In this class we’ll also make up some unique and aromatic spice blends that are unique to the Middle East and use them in our recipes.

Some of the recipes we’ll learn include:

Syrian Flatbreads with Za’atar
Turkish Quail Skewers with Chili Coriander Relish
Yemeni Roast Fish with ‘Hawaj’ Spices and Tahini Honey Paste
Turkish Lahmacun Pizzas with Spicy Lamb and Feta
