With the explosion of Japanese restaurants like Nobu and Zuma on the restaurant scene, Japanese food no longer means simple sushi and sashimi. This class will teach you how to create delicious Japanese food with new and exciting flavour combinations.
We’ll learn about buying sushi grade fish and taste a number of Japanese ingredients including sake, mirin, shiso leaves and miso.
Some of the dishes we’ll learn include:
Rainbow Sashimi with Jalapeno and Ponzu Dressing
Scorched Scallops with Enoki Mushrooms
Beef Skewers with Spicy Miso Glaze
Sake Poached Plums with Basil Mascarpone
